The body of a 16-year-old Munro College student who went missing after getting into difficulties while swimming at Shallay Beach in St Thomas on Wednesday has been recovered.
The teenager has been identified as Kamal Reynolds, a resident of St Elizabeth.
According to the police, Reynolds was among a group of students swimming at Shally Beach when he reportedly got into difficulties and disappeared beneath the water.
A search was launched shortly after the incident but was suspended on Wednesday evening before resuming on Thursday.
The teen's body was recovered off the coast of St Thomas a short while ago, bringing the search to an end.
The Yallahs police, with assistance from the Marine police, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
