NLA implements measures to tackle delays caused by system outage

The National Land Agency (NLA) says it is addressing a system outage and has implemented measures to tackle the backlog of matters that have piled up because of the disruption.
The major outage reportedly occurred last week, with stakeholders complaining that it has, among other things, disrupted land transactions, delayed court matters and prevented title searches.
The NLA, in a statement today, said that system restoration was progressing in phases.
The agency said it had put measures in place to address delays in conveyancing, registration and valuation matters affected by the disruption.
The agency said applications submitted before and during the outage were being processed under an expedited workflow.
It also announced that technical and administrative teams would work extended weekend shifts over the coming weeks to speed up processing and return timelines to normal as quickly as possible.
Despite the progress, some services remain unavailable, including the agency's WhatsApp, Live Web Chat and NLA Connect platforms.
Customers can still access services through the NLA's telephone lines, email channels and walk-in offices.
However, the agency warned that some delays may continue while restoration work is under way.
“The agency extends its sincere gratitude to the public for its patience, understanding, and continued cooperation while technical teams work diligently to restore full operations.”
