Bryan Levell finished sixth in the final of the men's 200 metres at the World Under-20 Championships at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia on Thursday.

Levell, although having a good reaction time to the starter, struggled on the curve with Botswana Letsile Tebogo taking the lead coming into the home stretch.

Tebogo, who won the 100 metres on Tuesday, lost ground rapidly in the final few metres, as Israel's Blessing Akawasi Afrifah passed him to win the gold medal.

Afrifah did a World Under-20 Championships record of 19.96 seconds with Tebogo doing the identical time for silver. Calab Law of Australia won the bronze medal in 20.48.

Levell ran 20.72 seconds.
