#TRIALS2023 | Williamson, Webster fastest through to junior boys’ 400m final
Holmwood Technical’s Omaire Williamson is through to the final of the Under-18 boys’ 400 metres as the fastest qualifier, following his 48.98 seconds to win semi-final one at the National Senior and Junior Championships (Trials) at the National Stadium today.
Williamson finished slightly ahead William Knibb’s Joshua Wint, who stopped the clock at 48.99 seconds.
Semi-final two was captured by Herbert Morrison’s Trevoy Smith, who crossed the tape in 49.99 seconds.
The final of the boys’ Under-18 will be contested at 4:25 p.m. tomorrow.
In the Under-20 section, St. Elizabeth Technical’s Erique Webster is the fastest through to the final, following his 48.25 seconds to take semi-final two.
Also safely through is St. Catherine’s Ruvani Green, who won semi-final one in 49.18 seconds, while Tariq Dacres, winner of semi-final three, finished in 48.66.
The final of the boys’ Under-20 will be contested tomorrow at 5:32 p.m..
