Question: Next Sunday the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) will have an election to choose a new president, do you think there should be a change in leadership?

Allien Whittaker (former player): Yes, because Jamaica’s football has been lagging behind for the last three years with no real movement. It’s neither going left nor right. So, we need people with fresh ideas that can take our football to the next level.

Raymond Watson (coach): I don’t see the difference between the incumbent and the current vice-president. If Mr Anderson had stepped aside and let the public see that he isn’t part of the mess in the JFF and then come back and run for the presidency, then I would have believed in him.

Craig Butler (coach): The last six years of Michael Ricketts’ tenure have reaped no benefits to the country. At this point we’re almost sure that there will be no improvement if he remains while we have a 50 per cent chance if Raymond Anderson goes in. So, I’ll take the 50 per cent chance of the football surviving than a 100 per cent chance of going in the same way.

Clyde Jureidini (football administrator): Yes, we need a fresh start and a change. Essentially, we have become stagnant and I think it’s time to move in a different direction.

Anthony Patrick (coach): Trust me, this is a tough one but I think we should continue with what we have right now as I don’t think a new person would make any difference.
