Shericka Jackson won’t contest 100-metre race in Paris
Back-to-back world 200-metre champion Shericka Jackson will not contest the sprint double at the Paris Olympic Games.
Jamaica's athletics team manager Ludlow Watts confirmed to TVJ News today that Shashalee Forbes will replace her in the 100 metres which is set to begin on Friday.
"All the information that we can provide is that she is not going to participate in the 100 metres," Watts told TVJ news.
Jackson's status was in question after she pulled up during a meet in Hungary earlier this month. She was at training yesterday, but according to MVP coach Stephen Francis she did not train today.
