Arnett asks for privacy in the wake of stabbing incident
ARNETT GARDENS Football Club said it is urging the public to desist from spreading ‘misinformation’ and to respect the privacy of goalkeeper Roje Williams, who was stabbed after the team’s Jamaica Premier League (JPL) game against Tivoli Gardens at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Monday.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper Williams was allegedly stabbed by his girlfriend and has since been hospitalised.
Initial reports stated that the former Vere shotstopper had died. However, it was later reported that he was alive and getting treatment at hospital.
A statement from the club yesterday also noted that the incident was in no way related to football, supporters or any rival club.
