It was an easy day in the office for Jamaica’s Jordan Scott at the Tokyo World Athletics Championships as he needed just two attempts to advance as an automatic qualifier to the men’s triple jump final.
With the qualifying mark for the event set at 17.10 metres, Scott had a strong start as he leapt to 17.00m in his first attempt.
He then booked his spot in the final with his second attempt, jumping to 17.19m in comfortable fashion.
The final is set for Friday at 6:40 a.m. Jamaica time.
