Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson will have a chance at defending her women’s 200-metre world title as she advanced to the final in composed fashion at the Tokyo World Athletics Championships.

In the first semifinal of the night, Jackson clocked a season’s best 21.99 seconds to advance ahead of the pack.

However, it was not to be for reigning national champion Ashanti Moore, as her time of 22.51 saw her missing the final by three-hundredths of a second.

The final is set for tomorrow at 8:22 a.m. Jamaica time.
