Curacao head coach leaves camp before Reggae Boyz clash
When Curacao meets Jamaica on Tuesday at the National Stadium, they are likely to do so without the guidance of head coach Dick Advocaat, who has left the team’s camp due to ‘private circumstances’.
Curacao confirmed the news on Instagram earlier today, as they said the team will be led by assistant coaches Dean Gorre and Cor Pot in Advocaat’s absence.
Despite his absence, Advocaat will remain in communication with his assistants regarding the team’s tactical preparation.
Tuesday’s fixture will decide the automatic qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Curacao leads Group B will 11 points, with Jamaica just behind on 10.
The Reggae Boyz will need a win if they are to advance, while Curacao will advance if they avoid defeat.
The game at the National Stadium begins at 8 pm. The Grandstand has already been sold out.
