The inaugural Spar Wars boxing series will hear the first bell tonight at the Gee Wee Car Park in Cross Roads, and the main event between Daniel Hylton and Toriano ‘The Medic’ Nicholson promises to be an entertaining affair on the five-fight card.

Both fighters are eager to show their talent and have extreme confidence going into the bout.

Hylton, who made his professional debut in December with a win, said he has prepared very thoroughly for the matchup, and expects a comfortable win over his former sparring partner.

"I am hoping to show what a real boxer looks like and what a boxer should fight like. So you can expect a great performance from me on Sunday.

"I trained very hard and my philosophy is train hard and fight easy. So I don't think the fight will be hard for me. I have put in the work in the gym. So this fight should be another stepping stone. So expect great things from me. I am feeling good. The training camp has gone well and I am ready to fight," he said.

The Medic is also ready to unleash his fury on his former gym-mate, who he admits he has great respect for.

"I can't wait. I have been in the gym. I can't wait to step in the ring and show my class. It's The Medic and I am ready to go, Jamaica! Let's go!” he said.

"My last fight was six months ago in Trinidad and I had a draw against a very good opponent, which I thought I won, but they gave it as a draw but now I am here in Jamaica to take on Daniel Hylton, a very good opponent.

"Daniel can do his thing.  I can do my thing. We use to train together and he was my sparring partner. We sparred a lot at the same gym at one time. I know what he can do and he knows what I can do. I am not going to bash him. He knows my talent. I know his talent. So the fight is going to be very active. It won't be a disappointment."

He added that his opponent possesses similar qualities and believes his superior fitness will make the difference.

"He is very crafty, slick and speedy. I am also crafty, slick and speedy. So I have to make sure my stamina is up every round. It's time to showcase all that I have been training to do and put it out there.

"He is not going to like what I have to bring to the table. It's going to be hectic. I am coming. I am a runaway train. I have no brakes. So get out the way. Move!" he stated.

In the co-feature, Jermaine ‘Breezy’ Richards and Fabian ‘Truck’ Tucker will square off. On the undercard, Kimarley Samuels goes up against Javar Hunt, Akeem Francis takes on Jaheem Morrison, and Gian-Carlo Dujon tackles Bruce Dash.
