LONDON, England (CMC):

Jamaican umpire Jacqueline Williams and India’s Vrinda Rathi have been named as the on-field umpires for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final, which will be played at the famous Lord’s Cricket Ground tomorrow.

The officiating team for the highly anticipated final between Australia Women and England Women was announced by the ICC yesterday and also includes Kim Cotton as third umpire, Nimali Perera as the fourth umpire and GS Lakshmi as match referee.

It will be Williams’s second time officiating in a final, having also stood in the 2023 clash between South Africa and Australia, which was won by the latter.

In the ongoing tournament, the 50-year-old Williams was in the middle of the opening clash between England and Sri Lanka and also presided over England’s 40-run semi-final win over South Africa, as well as Australia’s crucial six-wicket victory against India.

Meanwhile, it will be a maiden Women’s T20 World Cup final appearance as an on-field umpire for Rathi.
