Sunshine Girl Latanya Wilson is set to play three more seasons with the Adelaide Thunderbirds in the Suncorp Super Netball League in Australia.
In a post on Instagram yesterday, the Adelaide Thunderbirds said the ‘defensive superstar’ has extended her contract for another three seasons.
The release stated that the international star continued to stamp her dominance on the Super Netball competition in 2026, leading the league for intercepts with 42 and finishing third for deflections with 72.
Wilson was named Player of the Match on four occasions, including on the biggest stage of all as she recorded 104 net points, seven gains, six deflections and three intercepts in the Grand Final.
At the close of the season, Wilson was crowned Club Champion for her third consecutive season. Wilson was also a member of the Sunshine Girls team which won silver at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Thunderbirds head coach Tania Obst said Wilson would continue to be a critical part of the club’s defensive unit.
“Latanya continues to get better and develop her game every season,” Obst said.
“She has natural talent with incredible athleticism that is the perfect combination with her worth ethic and determination to improve.
“Her versatility is invaluable and we’re excited to work with her again.”
Wilson has already played six seasons with the Thunderbirds.
