Discontent simmering within Gibson McCook Relays Organising Committee

Discontent is seemingly brewing over leadership and governance within the Gibson McCook Relays Organising Committee.
In a letter, which has been seen by our news team, retired Major Merrick Lloyd appealed to Chairperson Dr Marion Bullock Ducasse to call an urgent general meeting before planning begins for next year's staging of the relay carnival.
Lloyd cited what he called a “growing list of governance failures”.
He pointed to “no proper protocols in appointing current leadership, no AGMs, and the ‘unjustified ousting’ of a director from the call room”.
Attempts to get a reply from Bullock Ducasse have so far been unsuccessful.
But in a separate email to committee members, Bullock Ducasse announced that today's planning meeting has been postponed to September 23, “due to circumstances beyond our control”.
