National women’s sprint hurdles record holder Ackera Nugent has switched training camps again, joining a third coach in as many years ahead of the upcoming track and field season.

Nugent has reportedly been training under Okiele Stewart, head coach of Swept Track Club, since July. The club uses the University of the West Indies Usain Bolt Track as its training base.

Stewart also coaches national record holder and world under-20 400-metre hurdles record holder Roshawn Clarke.

Nugent was previously based in Arkansas in the United States before returning to Jamaica last year to train with the Glen Mills-led Racers Track Club, where she worked with hurdles specialist Craig Sewell.

The 24-year-old, who won bronze in the 60-metre hurdles at the 2025 World Indoor Championships, holds Jamaica’s national record of 12.24 seconds in the 100-metre hurdles, set in August 2024.
