Vaz to outline 100-day plan for transportation sector
Transport Minister Daryl Vaz is to outline a 100-day plan to address flaws and indiscipline in the transportation sector.
The plan is to be presented in Parliament.
Speaking at the post-Cabinet press briefing on Wednesday, Vaz said that this will be done before or just after the summer recess.
Before completing the plan, Vaz indicated that he will be meeting with transport stakeholders at an all-day retreat in Ocho Rios, St Ann next week.
“This is so that I can fully understand their concerns and the partnership going forward in relation to how we’re going to turn around the public transportation sector to become what it should be and show that we can do it. We can be a disciplined society,” Vaz said.
Meanwhile, he also indicated that efforts are underway to complete the naming of boards for entities under his Ministry.
