Boos and Bouquets: Boos to Baba's

Published:Sunday | April 18, 2010 | 12:00 AM

This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

I visited Baba's lingerie store at the end of March.

I perused the store for a few minutes before asking the clerk the prices of various items. When I asked the price of a particular item, the store manager (who was several feet away) shouted - 'that cannot fit her'. I was so embarrassed. There were two other patrons in the store at the time. My quick response wasthat I did not ask her that.

Convinced that it couldn't possibly be the manager, I asked her if she was the manager and if it was her store. Her bold reply was, "No, this is not my store butat a time like this I surely wish it wasbecausejust like how you were rude to me a while ago, I would tell you to get yourout of here." (Yes, she said it!)

And believe it or not, she went on to use even more abusive language beforechasing me out of the store. "Get out of here, you bh! You fat bh with your fake Coach bag." She even accused me of calling her earlier and being rude to her on the phone. That wasn't me, but I can empathise with thecustomer who did. In fact, before leaving I made sure to let her know what I thought of her and her customer service skills - including the fact that she should be ashamed of her language in front of other customers!
