Two finals will be contested on today's second day of the four-day Institute of Sports (INSPORTS)/ Swizzzle Primary Schools track and field championships at the National Stadium.

Action is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. and the finals slated are the boys' long jump and the girls' high jump. Amal Ellis of Bridgeport leads all qualifiers in the long jump with a qualifying mark of 4.99m, followed by Daniel Dawkins of St Benedict's (4.88) and Christopher Reid of New Providence (4.76m).

Meanwhile, defending champions Naggo Head made a promising start, registering a number of victories in the qualifying rounds.

"I think that we have done very well, especially in the relays, because we have qualified in all the relays that we have taken part in," said Denton Simms, Naggo Head's coach. "I think overall we have done fairly well in both boys' and girls' sections and once we keep up this, then we should be able to defend our title."
