Tomorrow's People, the newly crowned Claro St James Senior League football champions, will be hoping to take the 2010-11 Captain's Bakery Western Super League by storm, as they continue to strive for a place of prominence in national football.

"Now that we are champions of St James, our next goal is to become Western Confederation champions," said David Simpson, captain of Tomorrow's People. "We have a talented team that is quite committed and we believe we can do it."

Tomorrow's People took the $100,000 first prize and the Claro St James Senior League title on Sunday night when they defeated Revelation 5-2 in their second-leg final, which gave them the title 7-2 on aggregate, having won the first leg game 2-0.

In what was a clinical display, the Anthony 'Follies' Williams-coached Tomorrow's People dominated the early exchanges, and took the lead in the 10th minute. Marcel Whyte, who ended the game with a hat-trick, pounced on a cross and sent his diving header past the Revelation goalkeeper.

Twice on target

Whyte was twice on target again - in the 38th minute when he dribbled by several defenders and fired home a powerful grounder; and in the 47th when he took possession of the ball inside the goal area and directed his shot past the goalkeeper.

Darian Tummings, the Tomorrow's People custodian who was having a relatively quiet afternoon, with very little coming his way from the Revelation frontline, made it 4-0 in the 68th minute when he converted from the penalty spot, after his team was awarded a penalty.

Striker Marvin Brissett made it 5-0 for Tomorrow's People in the 69th minute. On a break down the left flank, he turned inside sharply and drove a powerful grounder past the hapless goalkeeper.

Revelation produced a good late rally and were rewarded with two goals. In the 81st minute, Christopher Brown fired home from close range and two minutes later, Andreas Nickles' header past Tummings made the final score 5-2.

"We relaxed towards the end of the game and it cost us two goals," said Simpson.

"Going into the Western Super League, those are mistakes that we don't intend to make."
