Amanda-lee McCreath

McCreath is currently a student at The Caribbean School of Architecture at the University of Technology. She plans to use her architectural skills to aid in Jamaica's development. The 2007 graduate of Hillel Academy topped her class in art, technical drawing, physics and integrated science.

She would like to meet the Obamas, as she believes they have changed the perception of limitless achievement. She thinks they are the most influential people of this decade and finds their successes inspiring to many young persons.

McCreath believes that charity begins at home and has participated in many such events. She is believes that communication plays an important role in imparting knowledge.

Chantal Raymond

Chantal Raymond is the true definition of beauty and brains. She recently graduated from Harvard Law School where she was the recipient of a Doctor of Law, 2010. She was also co-president and co-founder of the Harvard Caribbean Law Association. Raymond has a BSc degree from the University of Florida and nine undergraduate academic scholarships. Chantal completed an internship at the United States Embassy in Kingston.

She is desirous of being the chief executive officer of a major international corporation.

Hobbies include: travelling, dancing, jogging, weight training and spending quality time with her family and friends.

She would love to meet United States First Lady Michelle Obama whom she sees as an outstanding woman who has built a successful career promoting service and the advancement of youth, while supporting and nurturing her own family.

Simone Barrett

A University of Technology student, she plans to become a successful financial analyst who helps companies and individuals make more informed decisions about investments which could lead to a change in Jamaica's economic climate.

Deandra Doyley

This student of the University of Miami is eyeing a career as a professional athletic paediatric nurse. Deandra has set her sights on participating in the Olympics and has a long list of track achievements to her credit including a full track and field scholarship for four years.

In five years, Deandra sees herself completing her second bachelor's degree in nursing then continuing to her master's in nurse anaesthesia. She also hopes to qualify for the Jamaica track and field team for the 2011 World Championships and 2012 Olympics.

She would love to meet Nelson Mandela, because he is a great example of what a true humanitarian is.

Theresa Cann

Cann would like to light up the world as a famous animator and video game designer. This Bishop Gibson High school graduate has to her credit the CXC UWI Scholarship awards, the CXC National Awards and first-place honours in visual arts.

In five years, she sees herself travelling the world pursuing her career.

Theresa loves Japanese animation and comics. She also wishes to be a world traveller so that she can explore and gain a deeper appreciation for other cultures, religions and people.

Shanique Mongal

A mentor to many young persons, Shanique Mongal actively participates in Scotiabank's mentoring programme. She engages in volunteer work in her free time. Her goal is to work at a government entity that has direct responsibility for social and behavioural changes among young adults.

Mongal's ambition is to contribute positively to society, starting at the community level. Her plans to complete her Masters degree in communication with a minor in social and behavioural change.

She would have loved to have met Marcus Garvey whom she believes was one of the most prolific political thinkers of all time.

Her proudest moment was visiting Africa as part of the All Africans Student Conference in 2005. While there, she visited the Apartheid Museum, Mandela's old home in Soweto and other significant historical monuments.

Alexia McLean

Christol Wilson

Christol is no stranger to beauty and fitness pageants as she was a member of Jamaica's Fitness team to the Central American fitness Championships in Guyana in 2004. She finished first in the Miss Jamaica Independence contest, and received sectional prizes for best legs, most aware, best gown and most photogenic. She was also a Miss Jamaica World finalist in 2005.

Her ambition is to become an international talk-show host, television producer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur and to obtain a doctorate degree in counselling psychology. Her dream is to establish a home for street children providing them with proper nutrition, care, education and skills training.

She admires Julia Morley - president of the Miss World organisation who coined the phrase, 'beauty with a purpose', 25 years ago.

Latoya Taylor

Simone Poot

Poot attended Erasmus University (Rotterdam) and has completed her internship at a prestigious law firm. She is now working towards her second master's degree in commercial law. She was a winner in a Dutch fashion competition and got the chance to showcase her designs at Amsterdam Fashion Week.

She hopes to become a lawyer and a famous fashion designer. She most wants to meet Jamaican-born singer/actress/fashionista Grace Jones.

Kerry Moxam

Moxam was first runner-up in the Miss Jamaica World Western Beauty Pageant in 2006.

She received a GSAT scholarship from Scotiabank and a scholarship to pursue a bachelor's degree in criminology in New York. She has political ambitions for the future and hopes to establish her own customer service and marketing consultancy. In the next five years, she wants to obtain her PhD.

She believes the contestants can positively impact young people and would be honoured to meet Wen Jiaboa, Chinese premier.

Samantha Moore

This beauty recently graduated from the University of the West Indies's Faculty of Law with first-class honours.

In five years, Moore would like to have her own law firm and be helping underprivileged children as well as women who are victims of domestic violence. She would also like to contribute to showing a more positive image of Jamaica overseas.

Patricia Hue

Hue is restaurant manager at the Dragon Phoenix Restaurant.

She has just completed her bachelor's degree in hotel and resort management. She loves music and also has a deep passion for animals. She plans to open her own animal shelter. She admires singer/songwriter Alicia Keys for giving to the less fortunate through her foundation, Keep a Child Alive, which focuses on AIDS care.

In the next five years, Hue wants to be married and own a successful business.

Carla Ferguson
