It was an evening of Hawaiian dream at the all-inclusive party Daydreams on Sunday, December 19 at Tiki Ranch, Caymanas Estate.

The party that is popularly known for its all-white dress code took on an Hawaii theme this time around, enabling patrons to be more expressive with the fashion. The event was a fashion fiesta, but some of the women did not meet the mark. For a venue with grassy and damp soil from the rains earlier in the weekend, some women seemed unprepared in high stilettos and cocktail dress. They obviously misread the stipulated dress code. Had the fashion police made an appearance, some would have spent a night in "fashion jail!"

The men did a lot better, as many sported fashionably cropped pants, dress shirts, cardigans and bow ties. Others showed off their style savvy in convertible shirts paired with jeans, sneakers and trendy hats.

The venue was beautifully decorated, and bars at both ends of the venue kept patrons' party cups filled. The food stations were kept replenished throughout the night too.

The music and the vibe were good and patrons enjoyed themselves as they danced to the beat of contemporary, disco, dancehall, reggae and soca hits. Although it was a day party scheduled to end at midnight, at the witching hour partygoers were just ready to get into the groove and drink some more. Overall, the party was a hit, patrons got their money's worth and it proved a great way to start the week.
