Why fuss about heavy rain when you're among friends?

On Tuesday, Canadian High Commissioner Stephen Hallihan and wife Cathy, welcomed delegates to the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders' Dialogue (CCELD) to their residence on Seymour Avenue. It was just a chance to lyme after the delegates had been on a whirlwind tour organised by the CCELD planning committee.

The CCELD brings together 120 future leaders from Canada, Bermuda and the Caribbean to participate in a unique, two-week, leadership development conference. Travelling together in small groups, they visited select locations in the various countries. They had dialogue with community leaders, workers and volunteers from a variety of sectors to engage and share ideas and learn what it means to be a leader in an increasingly interdependent and complex world.

High Commissioner Hallihan said the evening was a chance to celebrate, and he knew the delegates would maintain the networks they had established and would keep in touch and keep working together. The delegates will move on to Barbados to continue the conference.
