It's a week of birthdays!

As Scorpios continue to celebrate, among the celebrants are: Belated wishes to the fab Karla Jackson-Buchannan, formerly of Linstead/Treadways, St Catherine, now in New York, who celebrated her special day, on Monday, the 31st.

Last Friday, the fourth, king of comedy, Oliver Samuels; the fab former Miss Jamaica, beauty Joan McDonald; the lovely Nicola Barakat-Melhado; beauty Desiree DePass; Chris Blackwell Jr; Michael Williams; the lovely Rhoda Ricketts in Stratford, Ontario, Canada; and the charming Sylvia and Francis-Coburn, in London, England, all celebrated.

Saturday the fifth saw Patrice Christian-Thompson, Kimberly Williams and Kimron Pinnock sharing the same birthday!

On Sunday, the sixth, model Sheneil Ottey and Donna Patrice Wright made it a double celebration!

Last Monday, Restaurant Week of Jamaica founder and events stylist Stephanie Scott; the beautiful Sher Reid; Jaimeson Smith, in Florida; actor/model David Jackson, in Newark, New Jersey; and the lovely Deanne Hurditt, in Brooklyn New York, celebrated their very special day.

The very next day, Tuesday the eighth, former first lady, and doyenne of radio Beverly Anderson-Manley; Jon Baker of the fab GeeJam Boutique hotel in Port Antonio; talented singer and entertainer Diana King; National Dance Theatre Company star dancer Kamar Tucker; Feona Bennett, in Mandeville; young Brandon Benjamin; and the fab Sidjae Robinson-Walia, in Toronto, Canada made it a very special day of celebrations!

On Wednesday the ninth, among those celebrating were restaurateur and businessman Rajiv Bakshi; the lovely Natalie Desnoes; the fab Avril Norton; ASHE Director Conroy Wilson; the lovely Nicola Carney; the beautiful Danille Gordon; and the affable Horace Campbell, all sharing the same birthday.

Yesterday, Thursday, the 10th, international financial and business development consultant Kris Astaphan, in Toronto, Canada; the lovely Debra Kerr, now in Miami, Florida; Andrew Chin, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Ann-Marie Peart,formerly of Hedonism III, now in Vancouver, British Columbia; the fabulous Liesa Euton, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; beautiful Julie Ramchandani; TV producer Shakir Brown; Anthea McGibbon, and Andrew Barton all shared the same birthday!

Celebrating today are Saleem Lazarus; former Pulse model and budding international star Serchen Morris; The lovely Ebony Peta-Gay Scott, formerly of Hedonism III, now in Montego Bay; the fab Anne Rae, now in the United Kingdom; North Coast habitué and Washington, DC, resident and international dancing sensation Vinnie 'Assasin' Johnson; and the lovely Veronica Stanford-Davenport, in Chicago.

Celebrating tomorrow are the lovely Pat Reid of the Office of the Prime Minister: National Commercial Bank's Tishan Lee; Devon Lindsay; the fab Nicola DeLisser, in Montego Bay; and the affable Dax Dunn, formerly of Orange Grove, St Andrew, now in Sunrise Florida.

On Sunday the 13th, among the celebrants will be socialites Nicola A. Mair and the fab Nora Perez; playwright Basil Dawkins; celebrated entertainer and band leader Errol Lee; the fabulous Tamara Morin-Harding; the very charming Sharon Reyes and the lovely Caren Collins.

On Monday the 14th, among those blowing out the candles on their birthday cakes will include: The lovely Tracey-Ann Cross-Menzies; north coast habitué with residences in Malta and Rome, the happening Francesca DeMayo; Italian born Canadian north coast habitué Joseph Tito; Todd Claxton, in Clarksburg, Maryland; Mark Clarke, formerly of Kingston, now in Atlanta, Georgia, and Ginger Marie Discalzi.

Come next Tuesday, the 15th, celebrants will include the charmingly fab Joan Bascoe; Antoneil Wendell Williams; the lovely Simone Gordon; the fab Tana Dalglish; the charming Caroline Grant, in Ocho Rios; Richard Nelson, at Round Hill; the lovely Selene Golding, in Los Angeles; Courtney Edwards, in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and the fab Claudine Cole, now in the United Kingdom.

The lovely Tara Evans celebrates her special day on Wednesday the 16th. As will the lovely Capheion Gordon-Rookwood, now in Florida; and the lovely Laqueta Schrouter, now in the United Kingdom.

Then come next Thursday, the 17th, the fab Karena Green of Ocho Rios will be the birthday belle!!

And congrats to Gladstone and Emma Hutchinson - parents of comedienne/author/performer Joan-Andrea Hutchinson, head of the PIOJ Dr Gladstone Hutchinson; Roger Hutchinson of JIS, and teacher Camille Hutchinson - on their milestone achievement, as the charming couple celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Wednesday of this week. Their children, along with grandchildren Emmanuel, Imanie and Che, celebrated the fab milestone with an intimate family gathering on Wednesday evening at the family's St Andrew residence!

Many happy returns all around with champagne toasts and Beluga treats!!

And speaking of fab events, people and places, a few Fridays ago, the place to be was definitely Kingston's finest boutique hotel, the simply fabulous Spanish court hotel, in the heart of New Kingston, where Travelport hosted a chic reception and dinner in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

Now, this was a global celebration with attendees including regional representatives and executives from travel agencies, airline partners and hotels including Jetaway Travel, Chin Yee's Travel, Trafalgar Travel, Delta Airlines and, naturally, the host, Spanish Court Hotel.

So, my dears, we are talking major industry power-player with the Florida-based Debra Prendergast-Lee being the regional point lady. In that capacity, she played hostess to one intimately chic reception for the company's regional partners, that was refreshingly fab!

Then the Fab Studio 38 over at the Pulse Complex on Trafalgar Road, New Kingston, celebrates its second anniversary tonight, and it promises to be all that and then some!

Tomorrow, however, it's all about the International Proxy Parents Poolside bazaar at the Hilton Kingston hotel and, dears, this annual charity do promises to be a treasure trove for bargain and gift hunters, as well as one fab social outing, so it's a definite must-attend!
