Local promotions company, 12 to 12, has collaborated with Jamrock sound system and Sub Konshous Records to carry out projects geared at improving the efficiency of local events and the facilitation of nation building.

According to a member of the 12 to 12 camp, DJ Smurf, they were always fans of Jamrock sound, and there has always been a strong friendship with the founder of Sub Konshous Records, recording artiste Konshens, therefore, it was inevitable that they would form a team.

"Sub Konshous, 12 to 12 and Jamrock are like family members in the entertainment industry so we just support each other in whatever we do," he said.

According to DJ Smurf, the team does not have a main leader because each member has a particular role to play.

"I am like the one that does the hands-on work like posters and stuff concerning the party itself, Paul Mullings is responsible for sponsorship, and Denise Palma deals with the administrative side," he said.

Speaking of sponsorship, for the past two years 12 to 12 Promotions has ventured into new waters by getting on board with the Miss Jamaica Beauty Pageant as sponsors.

In this year's staging of the pageant, 12 to 12 sponsored Mitchell Bailey, and according to Paul Mullings, the collaboration was good. "It was a very good venture and it helps to build character and confidence, and we are pleased to have contributed to that," he said.

12 to 12 has also contributed to sponsorship on the community level, making donations to the Esor Dance Group and the St Andrew Parish Church.

According to Denise Palma, sponsorship is important to 12 to 12 because it's important to give back to the communities which have rendered support since their break on to the entertainment scene.
