Spaces Jamaica Limited, one of Kingston's finest furniture and accent stores, celebrated its fourth anniversary in a style befitting its fabulous profile at its new Phoenix Avenue location last Saturday, November 19.

Spaces' relocation is part of owner and managing director Janelle Pantry's expansion plans to maintain the store's relevance in an ever-evolving industry, while continuing to provide a pleasurable shopping experience for all. The new location now allows Spaces to showcase a wider range of products in several categories including full bedroom, living room and dining room sets.

Scores of loyal clients attended the two-part celebratory event which took the form of an open house in the day and anniversary party later on. During the open house, interior designer and editor-in-chief of Health Home and Garden Magazine, Fay Wint, led a lively discussion on general design issues, stressing that decorating one's space is a personal thing, and urged the largely female audience to define their own style in designing their homes.

Clients also listened keenly to Interiors by Design's Marjorie Allen's presentation on 'Romancing the Bedroom' for tips on adding simple yet poignant elements such as colours, lighting, accent pieces and a variety of bedding to make the bedroom a special haven for romance. The tone of the celebration was tinged with a bit more elegance later on as the well-heeled guests enjoyed a relaxing few hours admiring the selections of furniture and home accessories.

Spaces also used the day's event to promote its Dream Bedroom Giveaway promotion to clients. With any purchase of $5,000 or more, from now to December 21, shoppers have the opportunity to win the grand prize of a bedroom set, complete with king-sized bed, dresser, mirror and two night stands, valued at more than $300,000.
