Big win for Holmwood Tech

Holmwood Technical High's senior team advanced to the semi-finals of the ISSA/Digicel rural-netball competition with an impressive 79-18 victory over Manning's School at Belmont Park last Friday.In Tuesday's semi-final at Clarendon Park, Holmwood will meet Manchester High who stopped Edwin Allen High 55-20.The second semi-final will see Titchfield High facing Denbigh High. In last Friday's quarter-finals, Denbigh got the better of St Elizabeth Technical 54-28 while Titchfield prevailed 41-27 over Bishop Gibson High.

Manchester and Denbigh are also in the junior semi-finals along with Knox College and Herbert Morrison High. Manchester defeated Glenmuir 27-12, Denbigh got the better of May Day 27-17, Herbert Morrison surprised Holmwood 32-30, and Knox ensured that there will be new champions this year as they whipped last year's winners St Elizabeth Technical 31-23.
