DISCOVERY BAY, St Ann:With the theme 'family is for keeps' echoing in the air, approximately 200 members of the Bolt clan, including track superstar Usain, turned up for a massive family reunion at the Holiday Haven Resort in Discovery Bay on Boxing Day.
The family members travelled from far and near, including overseas, to attend the function with Usain - dubbed 'The legend in our lineage' - being the centre of attraction.
He was given a large framed citation by the family, which was read by Brittany Bolt.
This chronicled his achievement from his days at William Knibb Memorial High School to the stardom which has been underscored by his ability to demolish world records.
His parents, Wellesley and Jennifer Bolt, were also given a similar citation, which was read by Monique Mills.
The family started arriving from 10 o'clock and entertained themselves by playing games.

The superstar enjoyed a challenge around the domino table, where he was not all-conquering as he is on the track.
Although Usain tried to be inconspicuous and downplayed any stardom status, opting to sit with 'his' people instead of at the head table, much of the celebration was around him.
At the end, he obliged by taking pictures with his family and well-wishers, many of whom only knew him through pictures.
One little cousin, around six years old, had a threat for Usain. "I'm going to beat you one day." This brought a chuckle from the superstar.
The Reverend Errol Bolt, one of the main planners of the event, was pleased that it came off.
"I am happy to see the excitement of the Bolts, everything went well," he said.
