WESTERN BUREAU:

Members of the Montego Bay logistics community and other business interests braved intermittent showers and the city's traffic to support Freight Handlers Limited and Econocaribe Consolidators Inc as both entities pulled out all the stops in celebrating their anniversary.

Econocaribe Consolidators Inc is celebrating its 45th anniversaries, while its local agent, Freight Handlers Limited, is marking its 25th year of operation. Both companies hosted a fabulous reception at the fitting Montego Bay Yacht Club, with president of Econocaribe Consolidators Inc, John Abisch, and managing director of Freight Handlers Limited, the affable Denise Lynfatt expressing gratitude to their clients, staff and other stakeholders for their support over the years, which has realised great success for both entities.

The principals of both companies appealed for the continued support of all their interests as they look forward to further growth in the years to come.

On their arrival at the shindig, guests were warmly greeted with an 'econo-tini' in the companies trademark blue. Professional waiters made the rounds with unlimited platters of shrimp, vegetable rolls, and other delicious appetisers prepared by Chef Robbie Josephs.

While Joseph Scott entertained, the principals and management cut two whimsical 'container' anniversary cakes.

Guests included owner of Sunset Resorts, Ian Kerr, Oswald Martin of United Sales and Services Limited, Edward Sterling and his wife, Hope, of Fashion Hut fame, David Topping of Jamaica Farewell, Rajan Chuganey of Kirans Jamaica Limited, Bhasker Reddy of Tuff Gong Trading at Sangster International Airport, Debbie Irving and Sandra Eccleston of Hilton Rose Hall Resorts, Michael Maxwell of Gordon's Agency Jamaica Limited, Roger Moffat of Tryall Club, and custom broker Steve Forrester, among many others.
