The American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) honoured Robert Levy, chairman of the Jamaica Broilers Group, with the prestigious 2014 International Humanitarian Award in Miami on Saturday, April 12. This award recognises Levy's indelible contribution to the Jamaican economy and the people of Jamaica. More specifically, Levy was recognised for his generosity of spirit, genuine concern for the welfare of his fellowmen, ethical business practices, dedicated service to the advancement of the livestock industry, and contribution to nation building.

A number of the island's corporate leaders, Levy's family members and friends flew to Miami to witness the presentation and celebrate with the admired businessman at the annual fundraising AFJ gala.
