Shame on Flow for shipping jobs to T&T

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Mr Gordon Robinson's article in The Sunday Gleaner, 'The real meaning of devaluation' (May 18, 2014), is excellent. He said, "We MUST find a way to stop the perpetual devaluation. But it won't be stopped until we severely cut our import bill and produce more locally. Why are we feeding US tourists imported porterhouse steaks?"

Last week, we read in The Gleaner that Flow was laying off 90 workers and would be outsourcing its call centre to Trinidad. Not a murmur from the Government. I think we, the people, should boycott Flow and suspend our cable TV arrangements until they rescind the outsourcing of jobs. That would be a significant warning to others like LIME, which are doing the same thing.

What is the 90 workers going to do? Join the ranks of the unemployed who steal electricity to survive?

We are bankrupt! We need to pull out all the stops.
