POEM OF THE WEEK:
A poem for the Spanish football team
I feel your pain Spain
but you will rise again
For you're a world class team
one of the greatest of our time
But this just wasn't your time to shine
I feel your pain Spain
It was like magic to watch you playing
The skills of Torres, the goals of Villa
The class of Juan Mata
Though they only played in the one game that didn't matter
You had the world at your feet
For you looked too hot for anyone to beat
No one foresaw your defeat
But the Chile pepper was way too hot
And Dutch Robins were flying too high for you to stop
I feel your pain Spain
But all the greats fall from time to time
And though Brazil 2014 was so unkind
you will rise again
you will reign again
We feel your pain
It's a shame you're not staying
I feel your pain Spain
but you will rise again
For you're a world class team
one of the greatest of our time
But this just wasn't your time to shine
- Seon Lewis of Juan-de-Bolas
Road rage
What's with all the road rage
When did we get to this stage
Many are moving at a fast pace
Like a high-speed chase, it's a menace
Impatience and selfishness rule
Motorists are so quick to lose their cool
Driving through the red light has become a habit
At times there's no policeman to issue a ticket
Unnecessary horn blowing is done to intimidate
Then expletives are hurled for effect
Showing ignorance and disrespect
Parking and taking up two spots instead of one
Come on, this is so wrong,
Giving up one's right of way occurs every day
Prevention is better than a cure, it's true to say
Improper overtaking and excessive speeding
Often result in a rude awakening
Some won't survive to tell the tale
Better late than never, let's always remember
The road is for all of us, don't make a fuss
Let's exercise tolerance and forgiveness
By the road rules we must abide
Strive to arrive alive
