Seventy motorcycles have been added to enhance mobility.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has received a significant boost to its operational capacity following the handover of 143 vehicles by the Ministry of National Security.

The ceremony was held at the Office of The Police Commissioner.

The fleet includes 71 pick-ups designed for rugged terrain, making them well-suited for rural patrols, tactical deployments, and rapid-response operations.

Additionally, 70 motorcycles have been added to enhance mobility, particularly in high-traffic urban areas where quick manoeuvrability is critical.

Two heavy-duty trucks were also delivered to support the School of Driver Training.

Speaking at the handing-over ceremony, Minister of National Security, Dr Horace Chang, underscored the importance of strengthening the JCF’s front-line capabilities.

The addition of the vehicles is expected to improve the force’s ability to respond effectively across communities, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.
