Jamaica is seeking to explore a number of new areas of cooperation with the government and business leaders of Kuwait.

Prime Minister, Bruce Golding said the areas include investment opportunities in tourism and a long-term supply of Liquid Natural Gas.

The Prime Minister referred to plans for a number of investments in Jamaica, which include the establishment of an international financial centre and a cruise ship port for downtown Kingston.

He also said these projects would provide major opportunities for Kuwaiti investors and businessmen to invest in Jamaica.

Mr. Golding, the State Minister for Transport and Works, Joseph Hibbert and other government officials, have met with Kuwaiti officials to discuss the proposals.

The Kuwaiti delegation invited Prime Minister Golding to visit Kuwait, for further discussions on improving the areas of cooperation discussed.
