Police have confirmed that there have been several instances of lootings across the island.

Although a curfew is in effect for commercial and industrial areas until Monday evening, looting has been reported on Manchester Avenue and Glenmuir Road in Clarendon.

A house at 10 Williams Place in St. Andrew reportedly had its roof removed by the high winds of the hurricane, only for men from nearby Ackee Walk to begin looting.

The police however say that they moved in quickly to control the situation.

There was also reported looting at car dealership G.M Challenger on Molynes Road in Kingston and at the Grace Kennedy canning section at 2 Twickenham Close on Spanish Town Road. Looters drove away with the vehicles.

The police claim they have all these situations under control.
