The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has made a profit of US$63 million from the 2007 Cricket World Cup, which was staged in the Caribbean.

This was revealed in the financial report from the tournament compiled by Chris Dehring, the CEO of World Cup Inc.

Payment to the individual territorial boards is expected to begin soon.

It has been agreed that 20 percent of the profits from the tournament, would be divided among the cricket boards of Jamaica, Windward and Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and Guyana.

Last month, Guyana President, Bharrat Jagdeo threatened to sue the WICB for Guyana’s share of the profits, which was in the region of US$1 million.
