Former health minister John Junor has offered himself to be the campaign manager for the new the People’s National Party (PNP) caretaker for South West St Ann Valenton Wint.

Mr Wint, who has business interests in Clarendon and Manchester, is a political newcomer who has succeeded Glenville Shaw the South West St Ann caretaker.

Mr Shaw ran on the PNP ticket in the last two general elections and lost to the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Ernest Smith.

Addressing a party conference in the South East St Ann constituency of Lisa Hanna last night Mr Junor offered to help the PNP to regain the South West seat.

Mr Wint accepted the offer and promised supporters to retake the South West St Ann constituency for the PNP in the next election.

John Junor who served as health minister during the PNP government, resigned from representational politics two years ago.

Mr Junor who is a lawyer by profession, has since returned to his practice.
