The Leader of the Opposition in St Vincent and the Grenadines, Arnhim Eustace, says his party, the New Democratic Party, (NDP), will not support recommendations to change the constitution.
The issue is to be debated in Parliament today.
The debate comes three months before Vincentians vote in a referendum on a new constitution.
Among the proposed changes is the appointment of a President to replace the Governor General as the Queen\'s representative as Head of State.
It’s also recommended that the powers of the Prime Minister be reduced.
The Vincentia opposition leader has described the two proposals as purely cosmetic.
