Tourism officials in Bermuda have reported that the country has seen a fall in its earning from tourist spending.
They say figures for the second quarter of the year indicates that tourists spent US$28 million less than between April and June of 2008.
The figures show that over the three-month period just under 75,000 tourists flew to Bermuda, spending US$87 million while in the country.
This is a 24 per cent drop compared with last year.
Officials also say reduced revenues in the second quarter resulted in hotels cutting costs and staff.
