Update: Jamaica Anti-doping Appeals Tribunal bans athletes

The Jamaica Anti-doping Appeals Tribunal today banned the remaining four athletes who returned Adverse Analytical Findings for the drug Methyl-Hexanamine at the National Trials between June 26 and 28.

The athletes are Yohan Blake, a training partner of Usain Bolt, Marvin Anderson, Allodin Fothergill and Lansford Spence.

They each received a three month ban, after they were last month cleared by the Ken Gammon-chaired Jamaica Anti-doping Disciplinary Committee.

The Appeals Tribunal chaired by retired Court of Appeal judge, Justice Ransford Langrin heard the case today after the Jamaica Anti Doping Commission had appealed the disciplinary committee ruling.

The fifth athlete Sheri-Ann Brooks was cleared on September 2 after the Appeals Tribunal upheld the not guilty verdict handed by the Disciplinary Committee in August.
