St. Jago health centre reopens
The St. Jago Health Centre in Spanish Town, St. Catherine is to be reopened this morning.
Services at the centre have been suspended since Friday, when gunmen reportedly walked into the health centre and opened fire on two men in the waiting area.
The dead men are Moses Kerr, 19, of Shelter Rock and Jeffery Palmer of Lizard Town in St. Catherine.
An infant was reportedly injured after being trampled during a rush by persons from the facility.
Following the incident, the Health ministry suspended its services and said it would be providing counselling for affected workers.
Permanent Secretary in the Health ministry, Senator Andre Franklin who visited the facility after the incident, said security would be increased in order to create an environment conducive to the well being of staff and patients.
