Jamaican dancehall artiste Rodney Pryce popularly known as Bounty Killer was barred by immigration authorities from entering Trinidad and Tobago to perform at a concert on the weekend.

Spokesman for Jacho Entertainment, Verne Extavour says Bounty Killer was turned away on arrival in the twin island republic on Friday night and flown back to Jamaica on Saturday.

According to Extavour no explanation was given and immigration officials did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

The last time Bounty Killer was in Trinidad, he was arrested on stage and charged with using obscene language.

He was also arrested by the police in Jamaica for a similar offence during last year\'s Reggae Sumfest.

Bounty Killer was one of a number of musicians scheduled to perform at the concert in Trinidad on Saturday.

Among them was Vybz Kartel, with whom Bounty Killer has a long-standing rivalry that has led to violence between their fans.

Promoters had expected that the concert would represent a truce between the two.
