Promoting swine flu vaccine
The World Health Organization (WHO) is insisting that vaccine is the best tool against the Influenza A (H1N1) virus, despite reports of a few minor side effects from the initial campaign.
According to a WHO spokesman, four out of 39 thousand people vaccinated against the disease in China have had side effects such as muscle cramps and headache.
The vaccination campaign is expected to shortly move to Australia, the United States and parts of Europe.
Meanwhile, Cuba has appealed to the WHO and the Pan American Health Organization to help the island acquire doses of the new vaccine against the virus.
He says Cuba wants to immunize those people most vulnerable to the H1N1 virus.
Cuba has 468 confirmed cases of the infection but no reported deaths from the virus.
