STETHS move to top of its daCosta Cup Zone
St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) blanked hosts Balaclava High 2-0 in their top-of-the-table Zone ‘E’ ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup match yesterday.
STETHS, which trailed Balaclava by a point going into the game, have now moved to the top of the standings with 16 points.
In other Zone ‘E’ games, Lacovia edged Newell 2-1 and Munro turned back Black River 3-0.
Meanwhile, Manchester High and Christiana recorded big victories.
Manchester hammered Cross Keys 11-0 and Christiana outclassed Porus 10-0.
In other games:- Godfrey Stewart and Grange Hill battled to a 1-1 draw, May Day and deCarteret played to a 1-1 draw; Belair and Bellefield ended nil-all, Spalding beat Holmwood 3-nil, Garvey Maceo and Central ended nil-all, while Old Harbour edged Kemps Hill 1-0.
The competition continues this afternoon at 3:30 with 13 games.
