CSME under scrutiny

The Caribbean Community’s progress towards full integration is being criticized as regional governments meet in Barbados with various interest groups.
The private sector representatives have criticized the delays in establishing a single market and economy, and called for governments to take urgent steps to speed up the process.
The meeting is being held as regional governments examine their progress towards the 2015 target date for full implementation of the Single Market and Economy.
Many leaders have already admitted that the deadline may have to be reviewed.
