Trinidad Cement Limited\'s chief executive Dr Rollin Bertrand has described as unfortunate suggestions by Guyanese President Bharrat Jagdeo about a possible conflict of interest in a case being heard by the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ).

The cement company has asked the CCJ to hold Guyana in contempt of court for its failure to reimpose a tariff on cement produced outside of CARICOM.

President Jagdeo has since questioned the link between the TCL boss and the Caribbean court.

However Dr Bertrand who is the Chairman of the CCJ Trust Fund said he’s deeply disappointed by President Jagdeo’s comments.
