Policeman killed in crash

A police corporal died this morning in a motor vehicle crash in Retreat, Westmoreland.



He’s Corporal Martin Ricketts who was assigned to the Negril police station.



Its reported that Corporal Ricketts was on his way to work shortly after 10 o’ clock when the vehicle he was driving crashed into a truck.



He’s said to have been on the wrong side of the road while turning a corner.



The policeman reportedly sustained multiple injuries and died on the spot.



Investigators are still at the scene.
