Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said Dalai Lama’s claim of cultural genocide in Tibet is not true.

Mr. Wen accused the exiled Tibetan leader of instigating recent violence in Tibet’s main city, Lhasa.

He said China’s response was in accordance with the law.

China said rioters in Lhasa killed 13 people during last week’s protest.

Tibetan exiles said at least 80 protestors were killed in a crackdown by Chinese security forces.

UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon has called on both Chinese forces and demonstrators in Tibet to show restraint.
