Health authorities in Grenada have been forced to restricted access to the island’s main hospital after the influenza A (H1N1), was detected in three workers at the facility.
They said the cases were confirmed on Wednesday, prompting the health authorities to institute measures to contain the virus.
Health authorities said they have closed critical departments of the hospital in order to allow workers to sanitise the building.
Health Minister Ann Peters said the restriction placed on the hospital is to protect patients and to manage the number of persons who access the facility.
