Pollard leads T&T to victory

Kieron Pollard hammered a brilliant half-century to lead Trinidad & Tobago to a four-wicket victory over New South Wales in their Twenty/Twenty Champions League Super eight match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in India today.



As a result of the victory, T&T advanced to the semi-finals.



Set 171 for victory, T&T reached the target with nine balls to spare, with Pollard undefeated on 54 off 18 balls.



At one stage T&T were struggling at 91 for five at the end of the 13th over.



Captain Daren Ganga chipped in with 32, while Daren Bravo got 27 and Denesh Ramdin 23.



Earlier, New South Wales scored 170 for four off their allotted 20 overs with West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo taking three for 31 off his four overs.



Openers Phil Hughes and David Warner put on 121 runs off 92 balls for the first wicket to give the Australian side a super start.
