A Bahamian court judge has ordered a mistrial in the case of two people accused of trying to extort $25 million from Hollywood actor John Travolta.
Justice Anita Allen declared a mistrial after a Bahamian politician prematurely announced at his party\'s annual convention that the two accused had been cleared.
The convention was being covered live on television and radio.
The judge said she was reluctantly ordering a new trial in the interest of justice because the politician\'s statement gave the appearance of an improper leak from the jury room.
However no new date has been set for the trial.
